Some brands are easy to fall in love with, and Tombstone Brewery is one of them — a brewery with a bold name, a warm beer garden, and a founder story worth telling.
Tombstone Brewery is a family-owned craft brewery with locations in Chesterfield and New Baltimore, Michigan, founded in 2023 by Francis Smith — a former police officer and film/TV armorer who spent nearly 40 years homebrewing before opening his own doors. It didn't take long for the recognition to follow: Tombstone was named Best New Brewery in MI Brew Trail Magazine's 2023 Best of the Best, and went on to win Best Beer Selection, Best Brewery Patio, and Most Dog-Friendly Brewery in 2024. Their beer garden offers hoppy IPAs, rich stouts, and refreshing lagers, plus trivia nights and a dog-friendly patio that's become a neighborhood favorite.
Tombstone already had a logo they liked. What they didn't have was a version of it that reproduced cleanly everywhere it needed to go.
We refined and cleaned up the existing mark so it holds up across every application — embroidered on a shirt, printed on a can, etched on glassware, scaled down to a social avatar, or blown up on signage. That's unglamorous work, and it's the difference between a logo that looks sharp in one place and one that looks sharp everywhere. For a brewery, where the mark ends up on merchandise, tap handles, and packaging simultaneously, reproducibility isn't a detail. It's the whole job.
Looking for your next favorite patio? Tombstone Brewery is worth the trip.
