Tombstone Brewery is a family-owned craft brewery with locations in Chesterfield and New Baltimore, Michigan, founded in 2023 by Francis Smith — a former police officer and film/TV armorer who spent nearly 40 years homebrewing before opening his own doors. It didn't take long for the recognition to follow: Tombstone was named Best New Brewery in MI Brew Trail Magazine's 2023 Best of the Best, and went on to win Best Beer Selection, Best Brewery Patio, and Most Dog-Friendly Brewery in 2024. Their beer garden offers hoppy IPAs, rich stouts, and refreshing lagers, plus trivia nights and a dog-friendly patio that's become a neighborhood favorite.
JpCS partnered with Tombstone Brewery on brand identity and creative support, helping with the logo design process so that is can be easily implemented across several platforms with ease so that it stands out on a shelf and in a crowded local beer scene. Breweries live and die by atmosphere and story, and our job was to make sure Tombstone's logo remained as distinctive in print and online as the beer garden feels in person.
