Here's something you don't hear often from people who sell design services: your logo is probably not the most important thing about your brand. I'm not saying logos don't matter. They do. But the obsession with "getting the logo right" is often a distraction from the far more important work of getting the strategy right.
A logo is a symbol. It represents your brand. But the brand itself — what it stands for, who it's for, what makes it different, how it sounds, what it promises — that exists independently of the logo. The most beautifully designed logo in the world placed on a business with no clear positioning, no consistent messaging, and no defined audience will do almost nothing for growth.
The businesses that build strong brands don't start with the logo. They start with the strategy. They figure out who they are, who they're for, and what makes them worth choosing — and then the logo becomes a visual expression of those decisions, rather than a standalone asset that has to carry all the weight.

Recognition isn't built by a logo. It's built by consistent exposure to the same visual language, the same voice, the same values, repeated across every touchpoint over time. The logo is one element of that visual language — not the whole thing. The businesses I've watched build real brand recognition are the ones that showed up consistently with a clear message and a cohesive look — not the ones with the most elaborate logo.

None of this means you should cheap out on your logo. A bad logo communicates the wrong things about your business before a word is read. The point is: invest in a logo as part of a complete brand identity, not as a substitute for one.
