Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce — logo concepts

A chamber identity for the Blue Water Area has to feel local the moment you see it, and the region has no shortage of landmarks to draw from: the St. Clair River, Lake Huron, its lighthouses and the Blue Water Bridge.

• Sailboat concept: a white sail against an orange sun, over three bands of blue water.
• Lighthouse concept: a striped lighthouse framed by a compass ring and a sweep of water, nodding to the area's maritime history.
• Sunrise concept: a sun rising over layered waves inside a location-pin shape.
• Bridge concept: the arch of the Blue Water Bridge in gold, wrapped around or alongside the wordmark.
• Tagline: the sailboat, lighthouse and sunrise marks were each shown with and without a “Progress with Purpose” tagline lockup.

These concepts were proposed to the chamber and not commissioned.
